Ghazali Flood Relief Program

Natural disasters and conflicts claim millions of lives each year. Survivors are often forced out of their homes, resettling elsewhere within the country to begin life as a refugee.

Ghazali Education Trust’s emergency teams are ready to respond to humanitarian disasters in the shortest possible time. Our priority is to provide education facilities as many people as possible.
Unfortunately, 8,000 schools across Pakistan were destroyed. So the urgency and need for GET schools, which serve as a hopeful anchor for our students and their families, has never been greater.

After the emergency phase, GET assesses possibilities of rehabilitation and long-term development. Our emergency preparedness programs help communities to survive conflicts and natural disasters. Following are the accomplishments of GET in these affected areas;

With this expression of support, GET was able to:

  1. Established 32 new schools in flood effected districts; Minawali, Bhakkar, Layya, D.G Khan and Muzaffargarh.
  2. Repaired 20 GET schools damaged by flood.
  3. Established 9 relief camps for displaced peoples in GET schools.
  4. Iftar-o-Saim facility has been provided to Almost 12,000 peoples at daily basis during the whole month of Ramadan.
